It seems like most flamencos have thick heads of hair that they never lose

Yes, there are notable exceptions...PdL, DDGastor, the Montoya family...but most of them have thick heads of 80's hair that make them look like Colombian Cartel extras on the set of Miami Vice

Is this an ethnic trait with the Gipsies? Most Cuban/ Puerto Rican guys I know are balding, but most white Cubans/Puerto Ricans have their ancestry from the the NW part of Spain or the Canary Islands, so it might be totally different genetics than the Andalucians

Fact: the faster your picado, the more hair you grow [;)]

tele -> RE: Flamencos and Hair (Oct. 29 2013 12:32:30)

I guess it's in the genes, if you look at andalucians in general there are much less bald heads than in other parts of europe for example.
Also it's maybe the somewhat care-free lifestyle of a flamenco that contributes[;)]

Richard Jernigan -> RE: Flamencos and Hair (Oct. 29 2013 13:10:11)

I spent a week in Triana last June. I saw a lot of bald headed men.

Sabicas was bald as a cue ball after about age 45 or 50--he wore a wig. So much for the fast picado=>lot of hair theory. Seen Paco lately? He's not a Gypsy, but Sabicas was "on all four sides." And how about the Habichuelas, etc, etc...?

Arash -> RE: Flamencos and Hair (Oct. 29 2013 13:40:00)

Take a lock of your hair and bury it at the foot of a willow tree. This will promote luxuriant growth, making your hair glossy and attractive.

Also if you want to cut your hair, do it in the new moon, your hair will grow much faster.

If you are already bald, make some tea from wild cherry bark, work it into your scalp over a period of time and your hair will grow again. Once you have your hair again, use olive oil instead of shampoo.

PdL lost his hair after touring america [:D]

Harry -> RE: Flamencos and Hair (Oct. 29 2013 13:53:00)

Then again Tomatito is a good example of good flamenco hair I think. The best in my opinion.

As I told my wife the other day, one day they will invent a cure for baldness and I will grow my hair out like Crystal Gayle.

Ruphus -> RE: Flamencos and Hair (Oct. 29 2013 15:37:18)

In a science-fiction story from 1996 I inserted some speculative inventions for the storys plot around 2010. Most of them until then occured indeed.
However, not the sketch of germlings for new teeth. That one is in the works yet since last year or so.

And if teeth can be planted, inlcuding precondition of environmental supply, hair follicle must be doable as well.

Some combine ought to be releasing a product in the next few years.
- And as they will not sell for what already pays big time, like usually not, but for what can be squeezed from folks who want their hair back, they will be shoveling fortunes that in regard of bonanza could be leaving those of MS or Apple far behind.
-

In view of gitanos´ thick hair: Here is where descent from India could be making sense.
In India it seems many have very thick hair.

Miguel de Maria -> RE: Flamencos and Hair (Oct. 29 2013 15:49:11)

I have long, thick dark brown hair that I wear in a ponytail when I'm about. When I visited Andalucia in 2003, I noticed getting treated very poorly. It got to the point that I began looking for a Canada shirt to wear (I'm from the US). At that time, I lost my hair tie, and so my hair just flowed down like a girl (or Tomatito). I began to get treated noticeably better by everyone! I kept my hair down after that and never had any trouble again. I also only buttoned my shirt halfway down, so it could have been that, too.

Ruphus, you're spot on. They grew hair folicles recently.

They grew new human folicles on human skin. Unfortunately, the human skin was grafted onto the back of a mouse. So, the only way to benefit, for now, is to strap mice to your bonce.

But it looks like a done deal... with ten years of clinical tests ahead of it. Captain Picard nae mair.

Thanks for the info, Z!
Imagine the run when the product is there.

Hair seems tremendously important to men.
Seeing from advertising expenses ( just look how much of the TV commercial breaks deal with hair products) this branch appears to have the largest PR budgets, hence enormous profits.
-

Guess Ricardo is right, even with shampoos that have no dioxine in there.
Through the decades as sportsman I used to shower daily, if not even twice per day, and include the hair each time. And from age of ~ 30 or so hair on the upper skull started thinning out.

Now, since years I am much more scarce with washing the hair and the shed appears to progressively lessen.

... Who knows, could also be due to less testosteron with age, but there seems more reason to suspect the shampoo. [8D]

Rmn -> RE: Flamencos and Hair (Oct. 30 2013 12:03:48)

Flamencos can be quite pijos many times imo and very often have short cut neat hair. I don't see the link with long hair. I have long curly hair and people always tell me: you look like a flamenco guitarist. Which I am, but I never had an example from any other flamenco guitarists to grow my hair. It's a coincidence.

Diego Carrasco was a bit of a hippie back then, that's why the hair. Camaron was also going with the popular fashion that came from America in the 70ies. Tomatito, well it just looks good on him.

Today I was thinking actually to cut all my hair off to start looking normal again. Am just dumped by a girl and she said that I should cut my hair it would make me look better.... What do you guys think?

keith -> RE: Flamencos and Hair (Oct. 30 2013 12:42:20)

i am not sure i would take advice from a girl who just showed me the door and told me to take a hike. however, going back into the market one must make oneself marketable and if cutting hair is required then one must do what one must do.

as to the portable dehumidifiers--good to know on the sacks of beads. i actually put my eva-dry in the compartment and remove the lid. skb types of cases often have removable lids.

I had it only once that a girl asked me to cut my hair.
Typically enough she was fro orthodox religious background. From a level that always choses guys with long hair as the crooks in their trivial film plots; which again helps spreading the lowbow sterotype in the unworldly scene.

I told the girl to guess whether I cared for her retarded taste.
And if the maid that turned you down was of this kind indeed, you better be glad that ways parted.
Worse b!tches the world´s never seen, believe me.
There is just nothing in the dark lives of bigots that was not calculated and charged.
Even matters of heart where there is actually a wallet pounding.

Search for living beings instead.

if she really looks good and you can screw her, cut your hair, screw her until you get tired, then dump her and let your hair grow again.

you can also give her one wavy hair from your cojones as goodbye gift (optional)

Rmn -> RE: Flamencos and Hair (Oct. 31 2013 5:13:33)

Lol Arash
She does look good. She is the most beatiful girl I ve ever seen. But I cant srew her like you said unfortunatly...

I feel sadder and sadder about the situation actually. It was not just my hair. She "didn't feel it" anymore.... I feel broken... [:(][&o][X(]
Time to compose I guess..

Grisha -> RE: Flamencos and Hair (Oct. 31 2013 14:15:20)

Don't be sad, amigo! When it's over it is over. And probably better for you in some way you don't know yet. In a year or two you won't feel a thing.

Going out with hot girls is tricky. Some of them are spoiled and always have many options. They can break your heart easily. Better to stay away.

On the other hand, if you find a hot girl with some real substance to her, she can be glad that you see something besides her hotness. It can be tiring to be hit upon all the time just because you're good looking.

"Hi. My name's Jay. I'm a junior partner at Gobs, Gobs and Money. I have a Lamborghini and a condo in the Upscsalia. Wanna go to bed?" It gets old, or so I am told.

But don't fall for one that's all surface and no depth.

Sometimes I feel bad for them. Most of them have no concept of reality and it's not really their fault. Imagine going through life with everyone you meet being insincerely nice to you. When someone opens the door for my ugly beardy ass at 711 I know that means that they're genuinely a nice person. When someone opens the door for a hot girl, there's an ulterior motive. It would make it hard to know who was actually good and who wasn't. I've tried to explain this to hot girlfriends and they thought I was just a negative person. My girlfriend now is the first one who not only got it, but already thought about it.
