guitarbuddha -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 23 2013 14:52:43)

what is so bizar about it?

Maybe it was more of a proposition than an observation ?

Bizarre indeed......for some reason all recordings known to me but 1 avoid showing the left hand during the 4:15 part, all choosing the very same moment to in/exclude left hand shots. In above recording it is the very opposite, embracing the usual "missing link" part as one of the very few left hand shots included :-).

Ricardo -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 23 2013 17:15:52)

I thought the lack of orgy WAS the bizarre part.

tele -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 23 2013 17:45:53)

That's just a video proving the point that a good flamenco guitarist attracts young women easily[8D] In this video it looks like the women are searching where is that sweet bulerias coming from. Paco is playing it in old mosque that blasts the sound all over the place... My theory[:D]

el carbonero -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 23 2013 18:01:38)

I dont know if it's an old mosquee.

But near tarifa there are an archeological roman site, and in sevilla there are italica.

maybe one of this.

Wonderfull conde blanca in the first.
Isnt it estebanana?

Actually the sound you hear is from his ciroco cd (it's playback). Obviously they had to include an alternative ending that consequently sounds totally diferent then the preceding record sound :-)

el carbonero -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 23 2013 18:48:38)

it is not because you have a cut ear that you are the only one who heard it [:D]

All people ear the difference.

So in sirocco cd ,paco play with the blanca conde??

generally wath the song where paco play this conde or another blanca conde? wath cd?
anyone know ?

Yes I noticed it's a playback... But he still was strumming the guitar in awesome manner to attract the girls[;)]

Erik van Goch -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 23 2013 20:32:53)

point taken and so very true :-)

tele -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 23 2013 20:42:47)

Would be nice to see the full video with the other musicians, too.

Jim Kirby -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 24 2013 0:49:49)

Just to answer an early question - the women are roaming around in the Medina Azahara, the old Moorish palace just to the west of Cordoba. I believe PDL is filmed sitting in the mosque in Cordoba? I'm not sure about that one - apparently the mosque in the Medina Azahara mirrors the architecture of the grand mosque, but it was roped off when I visited so I never had a chance to see the inside.

withinity -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 24 2013 1:31:16)

Haha, that's funny as. The way the video is filmed looks like PDL is summoning his white robed servants by playing this Buleria.

Pretty sure sirocco is the negra he always used even in concert today. The blanca (maybe that one or at least one like it) used to accompany camaron from that era. Perhaps only select tracks I don't know. There is video of Paco and Tomatito in the recording studio with blancas both. I assume it's from Camaron's last album.

the women in white robes walking in formation.... in trance.... entranced? very strange!

edguerin -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 24 2013 9:14:16)

It's Medina Azahara, old Umayyad capital near Cordoba

guitarbuddha -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 24 2013 10:53:16)

Arash -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 24 2013 10:53:41)

I think paco is the only flamenco guitarist who attracts (few) girls under 60.
(and even paco had to show them his guitar collection and his villa in mexico first)

sorry guys, we are wasting our time.

El Kiko -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 24 2013 15:41:54)

yes most definitely Medina Azahara . , . really beautiful place that people should get to see if they are here .. although the inside sequence looks like somewhere else .....

mark74 -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 29 2013 6:00:37)

There are probably some good looking 60 year old broads..don't they say 60 is the new 57?

mark74 -> RE: PDL cult leader? (Oct. 29 2013 6:31:51)

Maybe he's supposed to be summoning the ghosts of the concubines of the Caliph?

Or maybe he's the leader of a cult

Either way its weird...but not as weird as Total Eclipse of the Heart
