from what I was able to google, it seems you pay $60 when registering and then it's almost impossible to win an auction. Each bid costs money and when you sum everything up you'll pay as much as in the store.

Stay away from that stuff Kudo, it's all a scam.

Simple, people bid way more than the items value. They make money, you don't.

It's all scam indeed. It's like a casino, you do win every now and then but it is payed by other people that loose (most probably you) and the casino is the only one who wins at the end. Every time you bring out a new offer you have to pay 60 cent. So if 2 people start bidding you get this:

You 10 c (lost 60)
? 11 c (lost 60)
You 12 c (lost 1,20)
? 13 c (lost1,20)
etc.

Around the time you offer 24 cents you already have lost 6,00 dolor on in between biddings (and so has the other so the house has already made 12 dollar). They figure the more you invest, the more you are tempted to give it one more try (loosing more and more money in the process). At the end 1 will get it but many others have contributed money without receiving anything in return. I'm pretty sure that when you add all your previous investments on failed biddings and lost items to the price you pay for the first item you actually win you end up paying a lot more then you realized (and probably more then when buying it from a well chosen shop/site ). Above penny bidding will only work when everybody agrees not to bid against each other so everything is sold for the openings offer +60 cent. But i bed they will stop offering future items then before you know it. It's likely they bid against you them self and i'm not sure what kind of P&P they charge. When i buy dvd spindles on eBay the same one can be offered for 15 and for 60,-. 15 sounds way cheaper then 60 doesn't it, until you spot they charge 60,- P&P on top of every spindle wile the other charges 10,- for each shipment (regardless the amount of spindles). If i order 10 the "cheap one" will cost me 10X15+10x60P&P/10=75,- each and the expensive one 10x60+1x10/10=61,- And every now and then a seller offers them for 22,- each (with 10,- P&P for the whole package)..... that's when i order a box full, paying 23,- for each spindle. Some even charge 100-200 for a spindle of 50 dvd's. All you need is patience and a little knowledge of the marked.
