Hi all, I have a few high density spruce tops that I refuse to use for classical guitars.
Do you think they can make a good flamenco guitars?

That depends partly on the stiffness. What most people look for is a high stiffness to weight ratio, and that applies equally to wood used for classical and flamenco guitars IMO.
Denser wood can certainly be usable if it can be taken thinner.
Just out of curiosity what is the grams per cubic cm of the spruce in question?

I guess my question should be: Do you like high density spruce for flamenco guitar tops?

I know about the ratio stiffness weight. But the result can't never be the same with tops with different characteristics, no matter how much do you play with bracing.

I can tell you how grams per square cm, I just do it by feeling, and don't have a scale.

As long as they have good cross grain stiffness you can make them thin.
