Paschi -> David Jimenez Rodriguez (Aug. 25 2013 16:14:11)

Hey Folks its me again,

this time I wonder if any of you have experience with the Builder is named in the Topic?

I read the post about the Meduina system

But have one of you played a Negra of him with Cedar Top?
I only tried a Blanca and the sound was Magic, really liked it!!!

Is a Negra with Cedar Top a good Idea for an allround Flamenco Guitar (accompanying to Cante and Baile and also play Solos!)?

------------------------------------------------------------

I couldnt make it to Mundo Flamenco to try his Guitars [:@] I will see him in October! but I think about a reservation for a David J. Rodriguez from 2011

I have not played one but I know a couple of people who have, one of them even owning a blanca... they all told me that David's guitars were ace. Here's a link to a video of Nino Manuel playing a cedar top negra from David... the sound is not very good but you can tell that the guitar sounds very flamenco: crisp and dry.

I actually talked to David recently... I will be visiting Andalusia at the end of September and I wanted to touch base with him since I will be visiting him to try his guitars (together with a few other luthiers as well).... he told me that when it came to negras he preferred working with cedar tops. I'm really excited to meet him and play a guitar from him, he has been gathering a lot of attention lately!
