Hi,

34 years ago I sailed on a ship as a sailor from Hamburg ( Germany) to Venezuela.
I was 15 at that time and stayed in Porto Cabello for a month or so.
The times have changed, and I would like to know from somebody who lives there, if it is "save" to go to that area.
And travel around by yourself ( without an organised tour operator)
