Miguel de Maria -> 2011 Shelton-Farretta Blanca $1900 (Jul. 10 2013 3:40:17)

2011 Shelton-Farretta flamenco blanca, 657 mm scale, handmade for me by the luthier, John Shelton. The woods are caucasian spruce with bearclaw figuration, cypress, cedar, ebony fingerboard, rosewood bindings. The body is deeper than his typical blanca model in order to fill out the tone. This is an easy-playing guitar that projects to the audience with strong basses and trebles that pop with a strong attack. It strums very well. It has the light weight typical of a blanca. This is a flamenco guitar, but is versatile enough for classical.

The guitar is in excellent condition, with only a few very-hard to see imperfections. It was made to get max sound and playability and has few aesthetic frills.

Please check out my vids below:

1. vid about the guitar
older videos, lower quality
2. vid playing Sor/Segovia #15
3. Sor/Segovia #10

Shipping from Tempe, AZ is extra, and will be cost plus $10 for boxing, etc.

Hi Miguel, I had never seen you play. Didn't know you were such a good player. You should post your videos here on the Foro from time to time, whether it's Classical stuff or not. I really liked the videos on your channel.

Thank you for the kind words. Many of my vids were a project of doing the Sor/Segovia Etudes, a series old school classical guitarists used to study. I kind of went from being a flamenco nut to being a classical nut! I'll upload some stuff when I get some flamenco going! :)

Hey Miguel,

Took the hazzles with bypassing local internet censoring to have a glance at the face behind the calm voice.
Very sympathetic appearance actually, and I like how you present the music.

Rock on, and good luck with the selling!

Ruphus

Hi Miguel,
First, let me say that you play those pieces really well. I almost forgot about the guitar while listening to them :)

Could you please post the measurements (length, width at nut/12th, action, etc..)?

First time I've seen you play.. you find the way you attack the strings between classical and flamenco very different?

btw.. you REALLY don't look like a classical guitarist.. you look like a shredder/rocker with the hair, goatie and chain! [:D] \m/

HolyEvil,
I definitely want to play closer to the bridge for flamenco and more over the soundhole for classical.

Guitar is off the market.
