I train my wrists by playing guitar, and all other excercises that are related to playing guitar, I also do that on guitar, but I do play carefully and I really find that after trying to do minimal movement and strain I have become alot better and I have been recovering from a broken hand lately but I came back stronger I think, just having more care about how to do things. After I partially severed some tendons in my hand I also had alot of problems with pain, but it was because I was just not paying attention to proper technique. You could try playing ping pong or something though, I did that for recovery, and swimming also does help actually.[:)]
