I just hope they got his padded cell ready by now.

Alas
Is the way of the world that these cells are usually reserved for sensitive, creative but dysfunctional people
While crackers flourish...

What I'm most impressed with is how he got Santos Hernandez to put his signature on the guitar's label.

Stephen Eden -> RE: "Professor" Diaz at it again (Jul. 2 2013 9:34:41)

Haha I was only having an arguement with him on linked in last week about that video. He argues just like a politician, Always argues his agenda and will never answer a straight question.

It was infuriating to say the least and he had the cheak to suggest I was trying to play the Guru.

estebanana -> RE: "Professor" Diaz at it again (Jul. 2 2013 13:12:42)

If you distance yourself from the lunacy it is almost endearing how far out he is.

I said almost.

Sorry to be a dunce but can anyone explain the logic/ilogic here.

Cheers

Sr. Martins -> RE: "Professor" Diaz at it again (Jul. 2 2013 20:04:01)

I watched the whole thing. Here's what I understood:

"You see this banana? Its harder than this piece of racing car, which means that we should ask for a moist carpet whenever we buy a new hair."

I hope I got it right.

Damn are you guys gonna make me have to get out a pencil and a business card.
I really want to know the science of this.

It's called schizophrenic geometry.

I recommend some strong 3-ply, so he doesn't walk around with bits of toilet paper trapped in those eyebrows.

Ramon Amira -> RE: "Professor" Diaz at it again (Jul. 3 2013 20:38:53)

I take back everything I said on a different thread about John Cage’s 4’33’’. After watching this video (as much as I could take of it) I had to immediately put on a video of 4’33” for a little relief.

Say, isn’t Gounaro Greek? Maybe he could translate this for us.

I'm not sure about this because it has always been impossible to watch any of his videos past one minute, and I tried hard for this one. But I think that he says that he has always had a hard time tuning his guitars, he can play but it appears obvious he can't tune. So he finally fixed a problem with his guitar line that could never be tuned properly, now you can tune them.

Anyways, that is what I understood from the part I watched.

El Burdo -> RE: "Professor" Diaz at it again (Jul. 3 2013 21:41:45)

I didn't understand anything and cut to the chase at 6' and still didn't understand anything.
But while I'm here, a harp player I spoke to a couple of days ago remarked that actually, they spend 99% of their time tuning up, and the remaining 1% playing out of tune.

That's gold [:D]

guitarbuddha -> RE: "Professor" Diaz at it again (Jul. 3 2013 23:16:07)

Makes as much sense as the 440/432 thread did. You think he posted this as a response seeing some credulity that he could exploit ?

Remember..... the truth is out there.

D.

Man that is funny, good one.

estebanana -> RE: "Professor" Diaz at it again (Jul. 4 2013 1:20:29)

Its an old old saying about lute players in an old book, I forgot which. A writer said:

The lutenist spends half his life tuning the lute, and the other half playing it out of tune.

Everyone since then has reused this one.

Ramon Amira -> RE: "Professor" Diaz at it again (Jul. 4 2013 3:47:14)

In the days of gut strings for guitars - first, they would never stay in tune, and second, they were constantly breaking.

The saying they had in those days was: “If a guitarist lives to a hundred, he has spent forty years changing strings, another forty just tuning up, and twenty actually playing the guitar.”

Well, I didn't really speak to a harp player. It was just a way of getting to the joke. C'maaaan!

In fact world class drummer Terry Bozzio said it.
