I have seen quite a few guitarists have some kind of white stuff in their guitars heels.
Does anyone know what it is and why is it there?
Example is paco at 48:00:

I'm pretty sure it's Vaseline. Players like PDL use it to lubricate their finger tips for picado.

Exactly. Or this stuff:



I've bought that lip balm and it is excellent. It lubricates well, washes off easily and doesn't stick on the strings.

luthier strings makes white trebles and paco endorses luthier strings. could be luthier white trebles.

Aquila Nylgut, with Lard core.

Aquilla Nylgut have the thinnest e string I've ever seen, too thin.
He may be using the b string for an e, and a g for the b though; that's definitely not the Aquilla e string.
The Lard core makes them play extra smooth; I was gonna say buttery but didn't want to offend the lard enthusiasts.
