Hi
Does anyone know of any sites that offer lossless downloads of quality flamenco. Not looking for illegal sites as I am more than happy to pay.

I've been waiting on this since MP3's started to rule the world with their crappy compression. With bandwidth being what it is and cheap storage there isn't a reason audio downloads shouldn't be available in FLAC or the like as an alternative.

I think recording youtube vids as MP3's is legal?

Lately I have been converting my CDs to FLAC files for to have it all available for a Logitech Squeezebox ( the musicbox you always dreamed of).
[ So if you have questions on which SW to use for conversion and tagging, just ask. There exist very good ones as shareware.]

Getting my brain wrapped around this highly versatile music playing device and how to fire it up while the online initializing was impossible because of websites blocked from here ( no pun intended ) required extensive research on the internet.

It showed that many of the squeezebox hi-fi aficionados have terrabytes of FLACs in their collections.
That would be many thousands of ripped CD albums and I doubt that they had all so largely invested into discs.

There exist internet suppliers who led you select what you want. Most are working on legal subscription.
If I understood that correctly one can not only listen but also download the stream.
However, I havn´t tried yet eventhough the Squeezebox being capable of receiving. ( The local internet throughput wouldn´t suffice anyway, I suppose.)

I guess any internet radio connectable to your computer should do, but you better make sure about it first.

You might find the answer on corresponding forums.
This is one of them: http://forums.slimdevices.com

Cheers,

Ruphus

Whether it's legal or not, it's the polar opposite of lossless [;)]
