Excessive repetition of certain falsetas or chord progression(for example when learning) can certainly cause some strain in the left hand. For example especially when pressing more than one frets with one finger for long time. I have learned this through slight pain in the right and left hand that excessive repetition is not good, and as soon as something hurts it's a sign to stop. If one has to play, then play something completely different or better, take a break for at least 30 minutes. Learning flamenco is hard work and it's best to learn when you are overworking[8D] Take a break for couple days if it gets worse. And be careful, my friend knows pro flamenco guitarist who acquired tendinitis from excessive playing/practice.
