I ask this question because over the years, or even decades, I have bought quite a few of these. The first one is a tape by Sabicas on Side A, and a medley of some others including Sanlucar on Side B. Then records, and CDs, and I got burgled once in London, the git took all my CDs and deck and it took me years to re-equip myself, so mainly I have bought the same records and CDs for at least twice. PDL is a special case, as I bought his for at least three times, that is because of his box collection. I got some old Paco Pena's records on eBay as well. If I add up what I've paid for, the amount of money spent should be equivalent to the price of a designer's guitar, or a German Leica camera with lens. And one day when I go, it would be difficult to sell for a quid each in a jumble sale, after all, is it worth it?

Of course it is. You enjoyed all those recordings and will continue to do so for as long as you live, that's what matters. After getting burgled you bought all those recordings again because you probably really enjoy listening to them, so that was money well spent. Just don't let someone sell them on a jumble sale, sell them to someone who you know will apreciate them as much as you did. Oh, and unless your are a very good guitar player or a professional photographer, it is better to have a vast collection of great old school recordings than a top notch guitar or camera.
