Nice rosette, sounds good too.

Thanks for the comments.

nealf, I think this guitar is recorded a little better than usual. I borrowed a Zoom h4n and it did a very nice job, I need to get myself one.
The audio is straight off the device with no processing, EQ or anything else.

#35 is mine!

That is if I am counting correctly. [:)]

Thank you for posting. I am enjoying the Madrid/Esteso style rosette and the rosewood bindings against the rosewood back and sides. And as usual your great apeggios! I find your playing inspiring.

You are correct NAB!

Thank you orson!

I had the chance to play this guitar recently and was definitely impressed. I can tell you one thing, this guitar is loud. It has the nice tonal qualities of a negra but is punchy and powerful enough to hold its own for dance accompaniment. This guitar responds remarkably well -- the guitar is really resonant and when you dig in it really begins to growl. I was taken aback with the level of craftsmanship evident -- the french polish is immaculate and matching the purflings to the back and sides gives this guitar an understated elegance -- it is really a beautiful guitar. The guitar is set up very well and the mechanical pegs are really easy to use. The intonation is consistent all the way up the neck and the G string sounds bright even up at the 12th fret. I know that Andy was experimenting with a cedar top on this one but it has a very traditional sound and is a great all around guitar -- well suited for a variety of different palos and playing situations. ~Matthew

I am more than a little surprised this has not sold yet.

The audio should put to rest "spruce is better than cedar for flamenco" type of thinking.

I wonder about the same thing, once again.

It must be the economy that is plagueing us.
For, with just a decent audio setup you will hear what no recording can deceive. This man´s guitars are sweets as flamenco as it gets.

I say my 1970 Ramirez blanca sounds like a lute in comparison, despite of it being a fine axe.
I can´t imagine what he would be building like as an old seasoned man, seeing what he puts out at young age already.

Culpeppers ought to be recognized as top notch on the guitar horizon and his current pricing not just as a unique bargain, but even as investment for the days when his name will be out.

Only very few guitars will be rising in value as time passes, but his will ( provided mother earth still be turning, naturally).

It should be happening unless folks were deaf; which they aren´t, but just broke, innit.

Ruphus

Wow thanks for the nice words guys :)

avimuno, I could potentially ship internationally. I'm about to ship it to someone to try it out and if it comes back I'll let you know.

Guitar is still available!
A well known player here on the Foro tried it out but decided to order a Spruce 660 instead.
