no, I think its great to read tabs. When you hear the original music you can learn it to play right. Without the original audio, its no good idea to learn a tab. Maybe only to leanr new chords and tricks are ok without the original audio.
Ok, all falsetas I learned from an other guitarrist in workshops, I didnt forget. And the stuff I tabed by myself from an audio, I dont forget, too. But many falsetas I learned from a tab, I forgot..but I think its not bad to read tabs.
Traditional guitarrists? Whats that? Ok guitarrists who are very creative often dont read tabs, coz they invent teir own stuff.
