I've owned three (3) Benito Huipe flamenco guitars, and bought two of them directly from Benito himself. This was a few years ago, and we communicated via email. But to avoid any misunderstanding, we also spoke on the phone. One of my past instructors, Augustin Rios had a Benito Huipe cedar top blanca, which was freakin awesome. I eventually was able to purchase a similar Benito Huipe cedar top blanca which was very similar. ...I eventually tracked down Benito Huipe and asked him to build me a spruce top. We communicated via email, but when there was any questions to be clarified, we spoke on the phone. With my limited Spanish and his broken English, we were still able to communicate. The blanca he made me was just as awesome and was my playing guitar for a few years. I eventually asked him to build me a negra. ...In short, the detailing and his finish work on the guitars are very rough, but the sound of his guitars are first rate. If ordering, you should confirm final price. Lesson learned. Just thought I would share my experience, for what it's worth. But to answer your question, I have not ordered through his website, which appears to be relatively new or a work in progress. I would call him.
