Greetings All,
With the purchase of my new blanca i have a double body Shelton-Farretta Flamenco guitar, model 1980. Soundboard is cedar, inner body is rosewood, sides and back are cypress. Has repaired cleated crack (measures c.8 in) on the top on bass side near golpeador between bridge and side. I point to it in pic 10. There are also repaired cracks on the upper bass side bout. The cracks are cleated and stable. Ebony fingerboard, scalloped bone nut, wonderful tone, fantastic action.
Neck seems to have heel made of cedar. The ebony pegs work flawlessly. Two of the pegs are replacements: one doesn't have an abalone inlay dot. The other was replaced by the previous owner last summer, after the original peg snapped. This double body flamenco resonates. It is a real joy to play. but shows its age. nothing a good refinish couldnt fix.
