Ronald Radford flamenco master. Browsing through youtube I´ve found a live clip playing por tarantas.
To me it seems he likes to celebrate himself. At the end of this peace he spends himself his own "olé" to animate the audiance. On his website in the download section there are lots of true traditional toques. How would you consider him?
Saludos Bernd

What do you mean, you´ve enjoyed his selfcelebration or his mastery?

I met this guy in ST Louis Missouri some years back. To put a performance like this in perspective, understand he is NOT doing a professional live flamenco guitar concert as it appears.... his is an INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER....the kind of person that travels around and talks to people in hopes to bring them up out of depression....along the lines of SELF HELP type books etc, where the whole point is to turn toward the self with a positive outlook. He simply uses his flamenco ability as part of his lecture, and this clip must be taken from one of them. The audience is NOT there for a flamenco show. Hope that helps.
Ricardo

Thx Ricardo, that´s exactly what I´ve anticipated! I´m sure that a real flamenco master would never be so indelicate to declaire himself to be a master. When I was in Málaga where I met with lots of true masters in cante, baile & toque, but what I´ve found all over was genuine modesty. At this guy can´t discover it at all. This is simply my reason to open this thread. You´ve confirmed my impression [;)]
