Hi everyone,

I'm posting from a hotel room in LA (taking some training), but I'm usually in Alameda.

I'm a total amateur guitarist and a guitar-builder.
This year, I'd like to learn some flamenco as it looks like fun.

How should I get started?

ps. I'm thinking of making a flamenco negra--I have the Blackshear/Reyes plans and some nice Engleman spruce and Camatillo Rosewood. Any thoughts?

Welcome to the Foro, Matt - I'm still a newbie with flamenco guitar myself, but the advice I would offer is don't tackle something too difficult starting out. The learning curve is steep enough as it is [;)]
