Custom made in 2002, Thomas Rodriguez is well known on the east coast mid-Atlantic states, but is becoming more well known throughout the US as well as internationally, especially thru his relationship with Marija Temo who is a monster classical and flamenco guitar player. Marija plays a custom flamenco classical hybrid guitar that was made custom by Thomas Rodriguez.
Top: Engleman spruce
Back/sides: Spanish cypress
Tuners: Traditional ebony wood tuning pegs. Ebony pegs are very traditional to the flamenco guitar as well as provide ease in playing should you hold the guitar in the traditional flamency style.
Scale: 650 standard
Nut: 52mm
Most importantly this guitar has opened up and has developed that woody sound which is so much sought after in a flamenco guitar and playing rasgueados produces that raspy sound which is very flamenco sounding. The guitar comes with the original TKL arched hardshell case.
