One like that dropped a branch on my shed and demolished half of it (fortunately after I sold it) so consider me stomped.
I've never actually cut down a live tree for firewood, with the shallow Australian soils, the wind does the felling quite effectively.

That grove is really beautiful, people come from all over to walk through it to the river mouth beach. I grew up part of the time there. To see the deer and butterfies at sunset is really something. And if the late Summer - Fall storms are perfectly placed the wave off that point becomes a really good shaped right you can ride for 200 hundred yards.

Christian has a different sense of aesthetic to me but I posted that link to show you the timbers. Using Kauri and paua shell is considered quite patriotic in NZ

Its not my aesthetics either, but I must admit that he has done a very nice job with a lot of taste and that the overall appereance is very controlled and "whole" It doesnt look like a "Martin country and western star, abalone all over the place guitar". Its actually a very pretty guitar.
The only thing is that I think he should elaborate his soundports a bit. A hole in the bucket looks a bit cheap on such a highly elaborated guitar.

Yes, yes Jeff, but the point is if I act like a know it all assshole, you'll get the commission because by contrast you will look stellar. That is how half the other guitar makers here get business. I act out like a jerk and alienate customers who then go to John, Andy etc.

Stephen,
I'm happy to serve anyone who wants to buy a guitar and try to treat my customers with respect and gratitude for their confidence. I've been building and selling guitars for over 45 years now which I suspect is longer than you. My business doesn't subsist on your cast off customers.

John,

I sincerely apologize if you took my joke that way. That is not what I meant at all. It was a self deprecating joke that looks like it went South. I meant it to mean you and Andy are more well behaved than I am, at least online. I would not want to assume either of you are persons of non individualistic behavior, but that you in your own inimitable ways rage on into the good night.

Stephen

No apology necessary. I apparently misinterpreted your connotation.
