What type of spray did you have in mind? How would you keep the spray off of the guitar?

I do not know of any product, spray or wipe on, that will protect or prolong the life of guitar strings. In fact if I found something I would not use it. I would rather change strings to a new set rather than experiment with them. [:)]

I use fast fret to clean the strings when they start to lose brightness and I have a gig coming up (I don't like to gig with a fresh set until they have properly settled). Its a stick, wouldn't fancy a spray.
