If you use silk (or acrylic) to repair your nails and you find that after a few days it starts to come off, go to the hobby store and get some "fast" superglue (smallest bottle available). Fast superglue is so fluid that it will migrate between the separated silk/nail and completely fill the gap, and be as strong as new. It also has the advantage of drying in seconds (literally) so you can do a repair during a performance with no wait time. The downside is that it is SO liquid it can be hard to control. A little practice is useful.
