When I moved to York in early June I knew it would be some time before I had a workshop.
But I didn't bargain for a very wet summer cuasing big problems re roofing the new place and I certainly hadn't planned for the loft ladder to give way beneath me.
I broke two vertebrae and was out of action for a couple of months.
But finally I have a new workshop

Many thanks to foro member Graham Brookes for making this video for me.

What cannot be caught on video is the fantastic smell of cypress[:)]

Congratulations, good to see you are back in action. Must be that much sweeter after a long absence. It does look like a nice cozy work space.

Kevin,

Did you pay mind to creating a dedicated Brace Shaving Station in the shop?

Congratulations Kevin, you get around pretty good for a bloke what's cracked a couple of vertebrae.
Cheers,
Dave

Graham thanks for embedding this video in your post.
You'll have to explain to me some time how to do it!

You must be joking! My salt store takes up too much space

Kevin
You look so happy. Thats the best part of the whole video.[:)]

I like small workshops. Easy to control humidity and temperature. And good to see that your back is not bothering you (to much) So where are you in York?

One thing I would change is the open shelfs. I had that in my old workshop and with time end up being full of dust because its too time consuming to clean them.
So in my new workshop (not new anymore) I bought a cheap cabinet and some cheap kitchen furniture in IKEA. And it was an enourmous change and a lot better for my health.

krichards -> RE: At last, my new workshop (Oct. 30 2012 7:40:22)

Hi Anders
We are in the west side of York in Acomb. You are very welcome here anytime you visit England.

And you are right about the shelves, but for the moment they will have to do

Elie -> RE: At last, my new workshop (Oct. 30 2012 7:48:36)

Congratulations wish you all the best !!
