Hello from North Carolina. I've been lurking on the forum for couple of months now. So, I finally joined. I retired from the telecommunications industry over six years ago.I had always wanted to try my hand at building a guitar. So, I built one, then another and another and so on! All were steel strings. In looking back at the classical guitar lessons that I took many years ago (we touched on flamenco just a bit), I have rediscovered this great music! I have now begun building my first flamenco guitar (a blanca).

Wayne

Bienvenido to the forum Wayne.
And welcome to the pandoras box that is learning flamenco! [;)]
This an amazing resource for building so you should find it pretty helpful.

Hello and welcome Wayne! I guess we'll get to see the pics of the blanca in the Lutherie section? [:D]

Thanks all for the welcome!

theblackcat--I'll be glad to post pics once I am finished. Since this is my first build of a flamenco, I still have to make the forms, solera, and etc. I do have the neck partially carved and the top is braced. So, I am past the "thinking about it" stage.
