I'm relatively new to the foro and flamenco in general (started less than 2 years ago) so I don't really know the other members here. But, I love flamenco and would love to go to Spain! My wife and I were talking about the possiblity of me going to this event, so I'd say that I'm a 50/50 right now. So what constitutes an intermediate player (as indicated on the website) vs. an advanced player? As of today I have over 800 hours of flamenco practice in, and almost 3,000 hours on guitar overall. While I can play some fairly nice stuff, I'm certainly no professional like Ricardo. Some of the more advanced stuff I can play are several pieces from Paco Pena's Toques Flamenco (specifically the Soleares, Rumba, Taranta, and the Farruca), Sabicas' Punta Y Tacon, and several of Juan Martin's pieces from his advanced book, including the Rondena, Zambra Mora, Solea Por Medio, Tangos, Rumba Nostalgica, etc. Where do you think I would fall? Considering that I'll continue to practice an average of 70 minutes per day between now and April, I'll make further improvements.
