True .. but they will get pirate films and have to dub a pirate type voice on for them . so what i meant was what do they say to be ,dubbed , piratey......
like how would ...'shiver me timbers' come out in another language ..

Paul Magnussen -> RE: Talk like a Pirate day (Sep. 19 2012 21:08:22)

So let’s hear it for Robert Newton, whose masterly 1950 performance as Long John Silver provided the template for every pirate since (until Johnny Depp had the talent and the wit to do something different).

Escribano -> RE: Talk like a Pirate day (Sep. 19 2012 21:09:34)

In Somerset, the pirates say "Ooh Arrr!"

not sure.
In a global culturalism era which tends to uniformity, here's my single pic/thought

You hear about that new pirate movie that's coming out? It's rated aaaar.*

*Joke only works in the U.S., Canadian provinces other than Quebec, and whatever other countries follow a rating system similar to that established by The Motion Picutre Association of America's Classification and Rating Administration. How's that for cultural diversity?

I presume Escribano that is like your national anthem then.......[:D]

I also see here on he official page that 2012 PirateDay is really big in the USA and yet there NO Pirates in Spain ,,,,,,except for Gran Canaria ......so no pirate bulerias this year anyway

Just like there's an academic treatise on pencil sharpening, there's also a song about this holiday, the lyrical content of which has next to nothing to do with the holiday itself.

Did you hear about the guy who got his whole left side cut off (by a pirate, of course)? He's all right now.
