Hi Andy,
I guess just a Farruca in an odd tuning and he's looking for new sounds, but I agree, there comes a point where for my taste all this just becomes academic, a technical exercise.
Tomatito plays Tangos and Buleria in an alternate tuning but I can see his point, the music is rich and appropriate to the palo, new sounds and very flamenco.
