machopicasso -> Bambera (Sep. 2 2012 9:45:32)

According to the Wiki entry on bambera: "The origin of the bamba/bambera is ascribed to the flamenco singer known as Niña de los Peines (real name Pastora María Pavón Cruz 1890 – 1969), considered one of the most important voices in the history of the art. This song form was further developed by Naranjito de Triana who imposed the distinctive rhythmic pattern of twelve count soleá."

Assuming that's right, two questions:

1) What distinguishes bambera from regular soleá?

2) If a guitarist is accompanying for a dance class which is focusing on bambera, what should the guitarist do (beyond playing soleá)?

1. The melody.
2. play like its solea por buleria, and it ends on the relative minor chord (in E phygian por arriba, its mostly F-E chords then end on Am)

i know this is kinda like resurrecting a zombie thread, but are there any "classic" falsetas por bambera, or will ordinary Solea por arriba stock falsetas suffice?
