estebanana -> Oud Project: New top and pegbox (Aug. 10 2012 23:20:38) I'm rebuilding an Egyptian oud, putting a new face on it and changing the pegbox. Thought some of you might want to follow along. It's a "beans money" project, rebuilding it on speculation that someone might need an oud for a good price. I'm using the rosette design band I lifted from a 19th century oud. The same WBWBW motif I use on my guitar rosettes, but it's come full circle to be used on an oud in the same in way I discovered it for myself! Images are resized automatically to a maximum width of 800px
