I've got Juan Martin's solo book and all the rasguardos use 4th finger. How can I convert these to the more modern 3 finger style - i.e. without using the 4th?

Am I right to suppose that a 5 finger eamii will get replaced by amii ?
And does eamieami become amiiami ?

Yep You just have to space out the strokes a bit more with the amii . But for me using the pinky like eamii-eamii sounds more sexy but takes some practice to make it sound like a smooth roll.

That'll work but I agree with Dave, the 5 stroke ras rolls better, particularly for soleares and alegrias.
