Some stuff I found online: "Nadal wasn't ahead of Federer by much. Nadal had to defend finals points but lost in the 2nd round; he basically loses 1155 pts. Djokovic loses points equal to the difference between his win last year and the semis (1280 pts). If Federer wins, he will gain 1280 pts (he lost in the quarters last year)." "Novak is currently on 12280 points, he gained 720 points for this year's Wimbledon, but lost 2000 points because his victory last year at Wimbledon has rolled off the 12-month ranking system, so his points total on Monday will be 11000 points. On the other hand, Roger is currently sitting on 9435 points, if he wins the tournament, he would gain 2000 points while losing 360 points from only making the quarter finals at last year's Wimbledon, hence his hypothetical total come Monday would be 11075 points, just enough to get ahead of Novak for #1" "I did the math. Nadal will lose 1,155 points because he made the final last year (1,200 pts) and only second round this year (45 pts). He will go down from 10,060 to 8,905. Djokovic will lose 1280 points (winnner last year 2,000 minus semi this year 720. He will go down from 12,280 to 11,000. Federer needs to win final to be #1. If he does ghe will gain 1,640 points (2000 this year minus 360 for quarter final last year. He will go up to 11,075 if he winns (9,435 plus 1,640). If Federer loses in final he will be at 10,275 (only gaining 840 from last year) " More complicated than I thought! [:D]
