It's been entirely too long since I lurked here. it's great to see the usual suspects still around and new "faces" contributing. I'm glad Simon, Ron and the rest are still at it.

.....right, back to lurking......

Hey, what's shakin'? Good to see you're still here. What did I miss?

Just kinda started coming back here myself. Todd stopped playing with a pick. There's an apocalyptic flamewar between some luthiers and other posters who like to pontificate on the economy. Ricardo is still awesome. Ron still likes to pi$$ people off.

Personally, I'm thrilled to take a vacation from the desert and get up to Victoria in July :)

wait Todd K stopped playing with a pick??? Arguably the ONLY guy that can actually pull it off stopped and is playing WITHOUT!!!???!?

Exactly which planet is this again?

Ron.M -> RE: Been gone too long, good to see all is well (Jun. 21 2012 15:54:12)

I also thought Todd's hybrid technique could in time (when he started composing his own stuff), lend itself to possibilities that would sound different but ultra cool and practically impossible to play conventional style.

cheers,

Ron
