Precioso!
A friend of mine is learning to play the sitar. He started taken some flamenco classes with me and then passed to Indian classical music. I found this album from the 80's from Ricardo Miño. I love how the sitar mixes so well with Sevillanas. Also notice the 70's sound of the guitar. Sevillanas is not considered a palo jondo, but still find them very inspiring.

Just some info, my father is from a small village in "Castilla la Mancha" (a region of Spain) called Agudo, from the arab "Acud" which I don't know what it means. Well, The Sevillanas compás comes directly from the "Seguidillas Castellanas" The Seguiriyas from that region. They are a spanish folkloric music but not aflamencada.

Interesting post. Do you know the album Agujetas made with Gualberto? There are a couple of siguiriyas on it.

Say hello to Rafalin if you see him.

It is on a valley. Next to hills

Oh, I see - I was thinking of 'al kudia' (la colina) because I've been to a place in Mallorca with that name, and of course names get distorted through history when they pass from one language to another. But this one remains a mystery!
Nice photo.
