well, my pinky nail broke today and i supper glued that son of a gun
so far it's holding up , but should i be worried? i mean it broke all the way through till the point it meets the flesh so it's a long way from growing back to not broken.
should i be worried or can i be relaxed that the super glue will hold it?

Ricardo is the expert on glue here. [:D]

My pinky nail split almost the entire way across - the superglue worked great and held it together until it grew out.

I didn't reinforce this one because it was only the pinky; however, for other nails that break I first glue them as best I can then put a small piece of tissue paper on top and then put some more glue on that. Providing I get it in the right place, this usually works really well for me. Doesn't look so hot, especially if you don't use white tissue paper, but it does work.

I started using super glue on my nails all of the time. If you go to one of the good beauty supply places, pick up some of the glue which is brush on. The brush is made into the cap of the bottle, and its easy to apply... For an emergency I also bought some of the acrylic pouter at the nail place. Like I said, I only will use that stuff in an emergency... You can put on a layer of glue, dip your nail in the pouter, and put on another layer or 2 of glue to seal in the pouter. Works good and you won't have to worry...

Your repair should hold as long as you have good glue and you put it on properly. That's the good thing about the glue with the brush, you can get good even coats with it. Not that its always necessary, but it does help. Just put on a coat, let it set up and get hard, and put on another... Repeat the process until your happy, run out of glue, or go mad from the fumes...

No man that's it...it's all over. Time to put the guitar on ebay.

No worries, you'll be fine.
I barely even use my pinky anymore. The nail is no longer than
the one on my left hand.

I actually do the opposite, my right hand pinky usually gets really long (like, cocaine pinky length) because I can't be bothered to file or cut it down. I pretty much never use it anymore either...
