rombsix -> Michael Heart (May 17 2012 18:26:22)

I saw him doing this (which we know PdL played) and thought he was not bad at flamenco:

I never knew about him before except for a song about Gaza (has nothing to do with flamenco). I then decided to watch his video biography, and check out what I found at 8:35 of the below video:

He has a personal technique, but his compas is tight and natural as any maestro from spain. Pretty rare to see someone so eclectic and versatile be so comfortable with flamenco compas and sound. He is up there with ToddK.

I guess accepting this particular pop song request had a positive effect after all:

Got me to find out about Michael Heart. [:D]

thank you Ramzi for bringing him up
he's very inspiring player and as mentioned on youtube he seems to be underrated
I checked his site and it says he's Syrian raised in Europe .. interesting thing !!

you did great on the cover my friend [:)]
I tried to look up the original song and found the following vid as "official video" .. is it ? .. very sad indeed

Did anyone notice that at around the 10:05 mark he plays his triplet ras with just Thumb, and Index.

At first I thought it could be PAI pattern...

Anyone see it or notice it...
