Does anyone know anything about a luthier named Marco Nunez?

Thanks -
Ramon

Yes, he has the same last name as me [sm=Smiley Guitar.gif]

I was wondering if perhaps he might be related. Guess not.

No relation. Do you know where he is from? I've never heard of him before.

Neither did I. That's why I'm trying to find out. Someone in New York City has a blanca made by him for sale, so maybe he's from New York, but not necessarily. I'll see if the seller knows where he's from.

Hey Ramon,

Guess what? I just got a facebook friend request from Marco Nunez LOL! We've never met but for some reason he sent me a request. He lives in Mexico. I'm sure it's the same guy as he is a luthier. I just though it was funny as we were recently talking about him.

Hey Tom -

Guess what? I just got an email from Marco Nunez. In Spanish. So I wrote back to him in Spanish, but I haven't heard back yet.

It seems a Foro member knows him, and mentioned my inquiry, so he wrote to me. I had a feeling - I don't know why - that he was from Mexico. Maybe because the price of the guitar was lower than one might expect for a luthier blanca.

This all started because one of my students who is looking for a blanca saw an ad for a blanca built by "Marco Nunez," and asked me if I knew him. The whole thing just became moot, because apparently the ad is gone, and presumably the guitar is sold.

But anyway, now I'm curious to find out about his guitars. I'm sure I'll hear from him.

Ramon
