Welcome to Foro! [;)]

Highest budget?

rogeliocan -> RE: WHICH GUITAR (May 8 2012 23:07:13)

They seem to be made with the same materials.
I know Raimundo has been around for a long time, I don't know about the other company.

My recommendation would be for you to try as many guitars of each model as you can and pick the one that you prefer, sound and playability, regardless of the brand. You will notice that guitars of the same company and same model will vary. For an entry guitar like this I would just go to a store that has a bunch of them, try them all and pick the one I prefer, and not limit myself to name.

THANK YOU

nerradi--welcome. the two guitars you mentioned are low budget factory made guitars and probably will sound about the same. if these guitars reflect your budget then i would recommend neither and direct you to the yamaha flamenco guitar. for a guitar costing less than $500 it has received some very good reviews here at the forum.

you might want to look at used guitars but the availability is more limited for those you can try before you buy. going to the bay would be an option but it seems to me your experience with flamenco guitars might be limited and you would be at the mercy of the bay (e-bay).

I would second Keith on this. For less than either of those, get the Yamaha 172SF. Also you will be able to play it in advance, because stores like Guitar Center and Sam Ash usually have it in stock.
