Hy everyone,

I've always liked Enrique de Melchor especially por solea. He has a very distinctive sound and is very recognizable.

My question to you guys about his solea is:

Does someone knows what exactly he plays at beat 9 in the compass starting at 38" in the above video??

(It's something you'll repeatedly hear in his solea's)

Off course i've all kinds of idea's and have slowed it down. Yet, I don't get it to sound like him. Especially beat 8 & 9.

7 8 9 or 9

I Would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.

THX!!

Jan Willem

.... ok, my tabbing effort really failed in the above. The third line maybe shows what I intended.

PS. Don't you just love all the endless nuances in solea falseta's :-)

The thing is the timing....you must hold the open d string for an 8th value tied to a sixteenth triplet and then the two hammer ons on fret 2 and3 are fast 16th notes tripelets....or even you can cram it harder so you have a dotted 8th and two 32nd notes if you want. Point is you have to cram those two hammer ons rapidly in time so you land the open bass E right on 10. Also let that 3rd fret F note ring out over the E bass untill beat 11 when you change to 2nd fret E.

Here is a clip of that section JWP. Maybe Ricardo can correct any inaccuracies? [:)]
I'm using my webcam mic here.
*I'm not playing the d on the remate (3rd fret or rather 8th fret , 2nd string)

I can't believe it was that simple.

THX Ricardo and Juan for the instructions and time you've put in responding!
