Hello all!/Saludos a todos!

I am new to the forum. I have played steel-string guitar for 20 years+, but only recently have begun Flamenco guitar study. Some years ago when I began steel guitar I was able to get good playing experience with a local group of musicians...playing summer outdoor market, parties, etc. Is there a group of musicians playing Flamenco in Chicago that would welcome a semi-beginner? Or if there are individuals interested, would great as well!
Thanks!/Muchas Gracias!

Mark

as an ex-chicago resident who was active in flamenco during my years there i know of a couple of resources. the first is the flamenco arts center on western ave. just north of addison. they teach guitar dance and song there. the other place is the old towne school of music on lincoln ave. they teach beginner to intermediate flamenco guitar there.

as a note, i moved from chicago two years ago so what i knew then is dated by the two years since i moved.

as to brune, his place is off chicago ave in evanston--just under the el tracks off the davis stop. his place is a building that is out of character for the neighborhood but inside is beyond our wildest dreams. nice guy!
