You have the beers after you build, not before and while you build[:D] - Still a good one though. You should have said, just finished this one!![;)]

Sean,

Shame on you! That hurts my eyes. How does it sound?

No idea how it sounds, I just came across it on the net it's made by Vincente Carillo

The worst thing about having a guitar like this one is that you´ll have to explain to each and everyone why the nut, frets and bridge are the way they are.
But of course, if you have problems with getting in contact with people, then it might be a good way of doing things.
I would like to try it, but no, I´m not going to build one.

Thank heaven! I thought you'd built the ugly thing.

That one was listed on ebay for the longest time. I've found the multiscale design to be fantastic for steel string guitars when using altered tunings, but I'm not sure how it would translate to a flamenco guitar. This is the only fanned fret flamenco I have ever seen.

On a steel string it's supposed to give more power to the bass strings while keeping the trebles from being to harsh and tinny sounding. I don't know what his reasoning was for doing this on a nylon stringed guitar as that doesn't apply.
It's like a car wreck, you can't help and look or in this case even try it but I don't want to be personally involved [:o]

Doesn't apply to nylon strings? Really?
Have you ever heard Paul Galbraith or Redmond O'Toole play their fan-fretted 8-string classicals?

Sean -> RE: Can't decide on a scale length? (Mar. 20 2012 21:32:42)

No can't say I have but nylon trebles don't sound tinny at a longer scale length so it must be for another reason altogether. On an 8 string I think the fan frets have more to do with alternate tunings. I don't yet see a reason for it on a 6 string Flamenco guitar but I'm open minded if someone can come up with legitimate points on its advantage.
