Escribano -> Imaging fun with a scanner (Feb. 8 2012 14:35:10)

I was messing about with my scanner last night, trying to figure out how to build a decent scanner camera for landscapes i.e. with 100 Megapixels or more. Here are some images of objects I placed on the scanner glass, leaving the lid open and switching off the room lights - in the dark is best. Generally, the cheaper non-CCD scanners have less depth of field to focus on thicker objects, but have a go and see what you can do. These are massive TIFF files with huge resolution, downsized to JPEGs to show here. It's called scanography.
Images are resized automatically to a maximum width of 800px
