BIO:
Pure, modern, technically-advanced, fluid, powerful and highly personal, Rosa Olympia Estrella began her studies in flamenco at the age of 8 with Enrique el Canastero and Mariquilla in the Albaycin district of Granada. She continued her studies at the Dance Conservatory in Classical Spanish Dance and Flamenco and moved to Sevilla, were she studied with Manolo Marin, La Tona, Milagros Menjibar and choreography master Javier Latorre. Rosa's dance training also includes jazz, tap and contemporary dance with instruction occurring in NYC at Broadway Dance Center and Jose Limon.

Rosa became a soloist and fusion choreographer from the beginning of her career and is known for successfully incorporating varying dance styles and disciplines into her work, such as classical, jazz, tap, break-dance, Balinese, West African, and many Latin styles. Her choreography includes "Flamenco Blue", a fusion of American Blues-Jazz and Tap with Flamenco music and dance, which ran Off-Broadway in 2000 and 2002; "Women of Quixote", based on four female characters of Don Quixote, which debuted at the Cervantes Festival in Bucharest Romania, 2004 ; "Hesperion", based on events surrounding a Sephardic Jewish community in Romania, commissioned by the Ballet Oleg Danovski of Romania ; "Angelfire Underground", a contemporary piece inspired by NYC, the subway, rhythmic pulse energy and dynamics of New York, which debuted in 2005 and toured throughout Eastern Europe; and "Travelers Dream Pub", a neo-classic piece set to various contemporary classical composers, reflective of a dream state, where desire crosses fantasy and dream becomes reality, which debuted in 2005 and toured through Eastern Europe.

Rosa has taught and performed throughout her native Spain, as well as Japan, Scandinavia, Canada, Romania, Austria, Poland and across the United States.
