Very off-topic, but I was very entertained by this programme today which traces Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street" from the very first composition which he played on acoustic guitar only, (as a folk/blues tune), up through it's various versions (some pretty crap) until the final single release which was a huge success with it's full sounding electric arrangement and famous sax part.
Many musical examples from old recordings, plus the story from his daughter who remembers him composing it in the loft of their Glasgow home, section by section and also how the lyrics originated from his early days in London.
