Greetings fellow aficionados, and Fellows.... I have played and built flamenco guitars for a long time, but I am new to the Foro.

I would like to find a good home for a guitar which I recently built. It has Port Orford cedar (a type of cypress) back and sides, Engelmann spruce soundboard, Spanish cedar neck (mahogany heelblock), ebony fingerboard, Bolivian rosewood bridge, bindings, and headplate, and Pegheds geared pegs that look like traditional wood pegs, with abalone dot inlays on the Pegheds. The width at the nut is 51 mm and the scale length is 656 mm.

It is set up with an action of 3 mm between the sixth string and the 12th fret; it could be lowered. The distance between the bottom of the sixth string, at the bridge, and the surface of the golpeador is 9 mm.

French polish finish. It weighs just 3 pounds.

Please see detailed pictures of it at https://picasaweb.google.com/115192646905893960498/023?authkey=Gv1sRgCP6imfSUoMfSBg#

You can hear it a little in this youtube video: http://youtu.be/YEtk5yWzZws

I am asking $2600 which includes a case and UPS ground shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 United States of America. I would send the buyer a Paypal invoice to pay by their method of choice.

Who am I? Since it's my first time posting, I don't know whether this is redundant: www.edluthier.com / www.marioamaya.com

Hi, I'm Mario Amaya, on behalf of Expert Village... [:D]

You rule dude! :D

How do you get those pinky-ring-middle-index rasgueados to sound so strong and clean without tucking the fingers into the thumb and shooting them out / flicking them out one by one?

Great sounding guitar and playing!

Oh, no, my videos precede me. Hey, I needed money and they paid me to make them that way on Value Village [a thrift store in Seattle]...I mean Expert Village.

Well, all I can say is, it's a matter of practicing, like most things. But don't practice too hard or you can easily strain a tendon (I am currently recovering from "French polishing elbow," which is the same as tennis elbow only more painful, I think). Try to keep your hand relaxed except when the finger is going down. Once, for a week in 1970, when I was figuring out how guitarists in Moron de la Frontera did it, I tried cocking the fingers in the palm, but that is not necessary (or correct).

nice playing man ... I love the sound of your guitar ... Olee !!
btw you're lucky to have Maymi as your duo ... i had a conversation with her time ago and she's a very nice and humble person ... [:D]

Glad you appreciate them.
Yes, I am really, really, lucky to have Maymi as a playing partner. She is also brilliant and can figure anything out--such as techincal problems or transcription. She has been playing guitar only a few years. You should see/hear her play the violin.
