turnermoran -> Potito's Barrio Alto - I need me some!!! (Jan. 29 2012 0:55:20)

I heard some of Barrio Alto on some internet radio station (Batanga). And lo, isn't the point of such free internet radio that I am inspired to buy said free music?.

But I cannot find this album ANYWHERE *in the U.S.*. Legal or illegal. I will gladly pay for it - though not $40 for an imported CD as seems is my only option.

I can't even hear it it it's entirety on Spotify, Pandora or anywhere. Grrrrrr so frustrating.

Anyone have any suggestions? I need this album!!

Did you try i-tunes? I know it is available on the UK i-tunes.

You can also hear a few tracks from Barrio Alto on youtube.

In the meantime here he is live with Diego del Morao, I think from the same period they recorded Barrio Alto:

Orson - sadly, it's not available in the US iTunes store. Which is so frustrating, as I friend of mine is British, and I suppose I could go through the elaborate process of having him buy and download it..then run it through ProTools or something to scrape the file protection crap..then upload it to a server so I can download it, while using PayPal to pay him back..
jesus.. I'm just trying to buy an album of an artist I'd like to support!

This happened with Diego del Morao's new disc. Available in Europe, but not in the US (unless you want to import the CD). I can't understand why record labels and retailers can't work out a licensing deal. I mean, what's the issue? It's flamenco; it's not like we're talking about millions of units being sold, and millions of dollars lost in unfavorable licensing terms.
Perhaps it's related to the nature of European record deals?
