Watched the film Hanna (with Eric Bana) tonight and there was a scene with some flamenco. These are obviously actual flamencos (anyone recognize them?), but why is the guitar so out of compas? Seems really odd to me since everything else is completely fine.

yes I saw this movie the NIGHT IT CAME OUT and I told my non-flamenco friends that the guitar part was OFF. that was last March I believe or somewhere there.

i can really recognize this scene.
the look on the face of a blonde german girl sitting next to her boyfriend in a pena at the juerga after the show, or in any other flamenco juerga

The scenes are changing rapidly
Could be the audio editors doing
not a lot of actual continual footage
Looks a bit like Pepe el Marques playing guitar.. Just a guess though..

actually, the palmas not so great either in the beginning. As mentioned there are lots of scene cuts. Unlike say saura films or live TV broadcast which are done "Playback", or music vids...movies are filmed then the sound and sound effects and talking added later. THey film with a gaffer over head mic out of camera as audio reference but it is still tough to match up perfect. EVen in big budget films you can notice out of sink talking. So the flamencos, with no click track obviously have to go into the studio and watch the movie and try to match the performance. The mistake is that the editor of the scenes probably did not have compas and thought the cut was fine. [;)]
