A watched that exact video yesterday! and it's soo impressive, that little kid playing the guitar has a lot of soniquete, and I'm amazed about the chords and tones that he uses at his short age to accompany por bulerias. Ole y Ole!

This little gitano has already a strong right hand, than most members will probably never achieve this accurracy (in the strumming) [8D]

Also he should learn the D# key so he could accomp his bro at the 2 [:D]

The general impression is.. They are spanish, breathe flamenco day and night. If they take the thing seriously they will become legends in the future. It is that thing that nobody can explain.. like the small kids in Cuba who dance the salsa, the Dominican kids when they do the Merenge '' LA GRAZIA'' or the gift that they are born with which will make them totally different from a skillful student in a higher level but from a different culture.

This child will have a great future in flamenco as a guitarist and singer. Wow this was really impressive

vuduchyld -> RE: Can anybody here top this? (Nov. 19 2011 22:33:05)

Wow...amazing!! How old are those kids?

How old was Paco when they did Chiquitos de Algeciras?

avimuno -> RE: Can anybody here top this? (Nov. 19 2011 23:03:41)

Damn... that's it... I'm dropping guitar for ukelele!!!

vuduchyld -> RE: Can anybody here top this? (Nov. 21 2011 23:11:11)

Speaking of playing and singing, I'm wondering if anybody has some good examples/suggestions for flamenco songs that would allow me to self-accompany. Basically, I'm looking for examples of people playing and singing (at the same time).

Not that I'm a great singer...but I'm also not a great player! My wife, however, is a really good dancer. So it would be good to build a library of songs that I could play and sing while she dances.

We've already got a fun little version of Como El Agua worked up...also a tientos we learned in Spain last year. What are some good, simple songs where you might typically see a 2nd guitarist who is playing chords and singing with an occasional falseta thrown in?

Gummy -> RE: Can anybody here top this? (Nov. 23 2011 2:46:35)

He was in my area a couple years ago. I was sorry to miss him. He and his wife were on a sailboat traveling. I LOVE sailboats.

vuduchyld -> RE: Can anybody here top this? (Nov. 23 2011 2:46:39)

Looks like he has some other videos, as well, that might be helpful! Who is this cat?

Gummy -> RE: Can anybody here top this? (Nov. 23 2011 2:49:49)

Of course there's this one which I took my avatar from...

vuduchyld -> RE: Can anybody here top this? (Nov. 23 2011 2:52:21)

Ha ha! The head scratch is GREAT! Gonna have to add that to my rep.

Seriously, that's fun stuff!!!!! Thank you!

Really:

Seriously it is not easy to do unless you really can SING flamenco style anyway. Be careful of making it seem cheesy like that....it is easy to do. This guy was impressive to me but not many others I have seen that try it:

vuduchyld -> RE: Can anybody here top this? (Nov. 23 2011 14:24:11)

Holy hell. No way will I ever be able to sing like that!

Like the second one, I mean. That guy can really wail!!!!

Rmn -> RE: Can anybody here top this? (Nov. 23 2011 15:02:10)

this little guy can also dance very well [:-]
