You mean the address bar. Its not the same like an up button and not nearly as fast. YOu have to move the cursor exactly to the right path, going leftwards each time you move one directory up. Besides the up button lets you go "up" until the desktop. There it "ends". With Win7, lets say you are in a path on the partition C, it lets you go only to the parent "C", not further. Really, once you get used to that button it becomes really really annoying if its not there anymore! [:D] XP rulz.
