So poor me has been living on corum alliance for the last year because the neck of my guitar was bent so much that "normal" strings would be way to heavy. So Savarez C.A. strings, flexible and more easy to play as they are, were my only salvation. Although I find them not nice to play because they are much thinner than normal nylon strings (so they cut into your fingers and you can not "find" the strings you intend to play easily if you are used to nylon). Plus the sound I always found very metallic and almost horrible.
Yesterday I went to a luthier who took off A LOT of the bridge. It nearly doesn't stick out anymore. As the corum aliance were then way too loose I bought in a lot of joy a set of D'Addario's EJ45 and now I am enjoying playing guitar again.

The EJ45 are very intuitive to play and you can play very dynamic in terms of sound. Playing for example a soft intro por Tarantos sound intimate, full and sweet and when the footwork of the dancers come in and you rock the plank with some guay ragueo, the stings will growl like a lion. With the savarez it was hard to get dynamics in the playing. And most of all, they are almost the half of the price of the C. A.

Just thought to share my little appreciation with you guys.

continuing with your topic and talking from personal experiment
I used Hannabach-Flamenco-827HT for a bout 1 and a half year on my guitar and was really happy with them, recently I moved to The EJ45 because I couldn't find the first in the store and mmmm I'm not feeling so comfortable with them yet, I think the hannabach strings were better and more aggressive maybe it is a matter of tension because the first was Hard tension while the second is normal tension or maybe I just played Hannabach for long time that I need a while to adapt to the EJ45 or maybe Hannabach are really better than the Ej45 [:D]

I agree with the thoughts given on the Savarez C.A's. I just never got into them. Its funny how different guitars react to those strings. On my Castillo Blanca, the Savarez C.A's sound more classical and dull. No where even close to bright enough, which is odd... The J45's sound bright and pretty good. I do think I need to put a set of the J46's on though. My last setup was J46 in the bass and Savarez C.A' High Tension for the trebles. I don't know what it is, but it seems I kill the basses pretty quickly on the 45's and 46's. For some reason of late I have been having more trouble with my hands sweating... If you don't have this problem, you are blessed. Its a curse for guitar players and the stringing budget... I need to do some more experimenting, thinking of trying some of the Oasis carbon fibers. Maybe even the dreaded La Bella's may sound good on this guitar. I owned a guitar some time back which only sounded right with La Bella's. The one good thing is I can get those for less than $7 per set. I found though that my nails would cut the hell out of the trebles on the 2001's, but not the reds, and I never tried the blacks as I recall...

always been a good ol plane jane sounding string to me (Daddario), a good calibrator for guitars since they are consistent in tone and intonation. But I prefer the interesting colors other brands offer, even if they are not as consistent, cheap, or easy to find. I don't want my flamenco guitar to sound too "classical", and lets be honest, la bella 820's on a classical guitar for a hardcore classicist would be a little strange.

Another point is that many G strings go sharp when fretted, when they’re tuned down to F#, as for rondeña (or lute music). J45s & 46s do not.

Yeah, im in the midst of trying some different flavors right now.

Unfortunately, nearly 50 percent of the trebles i try out dont intonate.

The most recent culprits being the Labella 2001 flamenco negra trebles.

All 3 trebles came up equally flat. Horrible. Shame, cause i like the sound.
Carbon trebles usually give me issues as well. It sucks.

Im trying out some Luthier pop supreme's(20's) right now, and i really like them.
They tune up perfectly.

But i ALWAYS have several packs of EJ45 and 46 at the ready. I know they will
always tune up and sound very good. They've been on my acoustic and electric guitars for well over 20 years.

Nice strings but they're a little soft. I have them on my guitar right now. Anders once had said that Savarez Corum Alliance is super set. I'll try them once but i'll change the first E string.

I agree. Supposedly normal tension, but they feel lighter than many
other brands normal tensions.

Still, the basses have a nice tone, plenty of zing, and the trebles
are very sweet.

They just feel a bit thin. I have a pack of Saverez alliance normal tension
that im gonna try next. But i doubt the high E will tune up.

I'd swear by Saverez 520R (high tensions) for sound quality, fell ect. but i've found their lose the Brilliance a bit quickly for my liking.

Savarez are only good for the first 2 or 3 days.
Then they sounds like sh!t
